| Security Advice | ||
| iloxx AG has been informed that somebody is trying to mislead online customers through the unauthorised use of the names iloxx and SAFETRADE. This is being done via fake e-mail messages. | ||
Please observe the following security instructions regarding iloxx SAFETRADE: If you receive e-mails in which you are called upon to use a trust service you should become suspicious. iloxx never sends e-mails asking people to use trust services. |
||
| The iloxx trust service is only possible in Germany and Austria and between these two countries. German buyers transfer their trust sum to the iloxx trust account at the Deutsche Bank in Hamburg, Austrian buyers to the Raiffeisenbank in Salzburg. Money transfers to supposed iloxx trust accounts at other credit institutions, such as Western Union, or credit institutions in other countries are not permitted. | ||
| Goods bought should be sent to the buyer’s address which the seller was given at the start of the contract. Subsequent changes of the receiving address must be followed up. Delivery of goods to foreign countries, particularly to Bosnia, Maldova etc. should only be carried out after consultation with the SAFETRADE team. | ||
| Fraudulent e-mails often have faked sender details in the "from" field (e.g. safetrade@iloxx-service.com; iloxx@support.de). Please note that the "from" field of an e-mail can be manipulated and does not present any dependable conclusion as to who actually sent the mail. You should especially challenge ".com" or ".net" addresses. So please be on your guard when you receive an e-mail and the sender and / or content seems strange. | ||
| Links in e-mails can lead to fake websites, which often look deceptively similar to the original. Fake URLs often contain the name iloxx and at first glance look very similar to an iloxx URL, but lead directly to fraudulent sites. In real iloxx URLs there is always a dot "." before .iloxx.de or .iloxx.at and a forward slash "/" directly after it. | ||
| Examples of real iloxx URLs: | ||
| https://www.iloxx.de/webauftrag/safetrade1.asp?sid=34&uid=0&whoami=SELLER http://www.iloxx.at/webauftrag/safetrade.asp http://ebay.iloxx.de/webprodukte/safetrade/safetrade.asp http://t-online.iloxx.de/webprodukte/safetrade/safetrade.asp |

| A trust service should be integrated into the web shop, the auction platform etc. where trading takes place. This page should be linked directly to www.iloxx.de or www.iloxx.at at the start of the contract. The seller must register with iloxx at the beginning of the contract and provide the account details. | ||
| As a seller, in order to make sure the customer has transferred the trust sum to the trust account, you can call up the order status using iloxx tracking. Simply enter the iloxx order number and you’ll see the status of the job. For highly priced products, in particular the trust service offers more protection for the buyer in relation to other payment methods. However, the user should think about the payment method and the partner before transferring large sums of money. | ||
| In order to rule out the danger of attempted fraud, please feel free to contact our SAFETRADE team at safetrade@iloxx.de with any uncertainties you may have. | ||
